New has risen in the December issue of Total Film on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Ben Affleck who will be starring as Batman, needed to have certain agility to move around, especially during fight scenes, so what was their solution?

They made Ben Affleck wear something called ‘visual effects pajamas’. So that means the armored Batsuit will be mostly CGI. The pajamas are like a motion capture suit, and Ben Affleck claimed they are “the most humiliating, ridiculous thing in the world.”

Affleck also said about the Batsuit, “You can move freely, and they can put [the suit] on digitally… It’s a little more humiliating to wear, but it’s easier for the digital effects guys. You can see who the priority is,” as he joked.

Some of the suits in the previous DC movies like Man of Steel were also CGI. Some complained that the fight scenes looked too much like a video game. We shall see how the editors of Dawn of Justice tackle the fight scenes with Batman and Superman.

Warner Bros built the armored Batsuit to be displayed at Comic-Con events. Those who have had the privilege to see it say it does look hard to move around, so maybe CGI is the best way to go for Affleck. Fans will be able to see the Batsuit in action when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice airs in theaters on March 25, 2016
