Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.

Full disclosure: I am a HUGE fan of the LEGO DC Super Heroes movies, so my review may be a little bias. But I can’t help it. These films are fun for the entire family. And their newest entry into the series is no exception.

LEGO DC Super Heroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout! is a nonstop, hilarious ride from start to finish. Batman has a plan for every contingency. But is he prepared to leave his beloved Gotham in the hands of his fellow Justice Leaguers, while Nightwing and Batgirl take him on (gulp) vacation?

Official Description: Batman faces his greatest challenge yet: VACATION! The caped crusader reluctantly agrees to let Batgirl and Nightwing take him on a long overdue vacation from crime fighting, while Superman and the Justice League watch over Gotham City. Neither operation goes as planned when Batman’s vacation is cut short by dangers from his past and invaders from the center of the earth, and Superman and the other Leaguers quickly realize just how much Batman usually has his hands full with the villains of Gotham.

Familiar voice actors are here to lend their voices to these iconic characters such as Troy Baker (Batman), Nolan North (Superman), Grey Griffin (Wonder Woman) and Khary Payton (Cyborg). But this time around, Payton is joined by some of his Teen Titans Go! co-stars Scott Menville (Robin), Hynden Walch (Starfire) and Greg Cipes (Beast Boy). Tara Strong is also a part of the cast, but instead of the sardonic Raven, we get the whimsical Harley Quinn in this film.

Also joining the cast are Will Friedle, who voices Nightwing, and Jason Spisak who brings The Joker and new “sidekick” Spoony to the ring. Watch out, Harley! Sarah Hyland of Modern Family also lends her voice as Batgirl.

LEGO DC Super Heroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout! extends this fun filled, brick universe laid out by LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite in 2013. With the inclusion of other characters in the DC Universe in these films that focus on the Justice League, my only jab is that I hope the lens will shift from The League and other teams, heroes or villains get the spotlight. Maybe a LEGO DC Super Heroes Presents Shazam!? You can have that one for free, LEGO and DC.

Still, it is a great film worthy of both your LEGO and DC Comics movie collections. I rate it a 4.5 out of 5.
