The season 3 premiere of The Flash is almost upon us and man what a season it will be!
We pick up on Barry three months after he changed the timeline, he has trapped the Reverse-Flash in a cell, his parents are alive, Iris does not know who he is and neither do his friends at Star Labs. With the changes to the timeline comes new enemies and new speedsters, welcome to the world of Flashpoint!
Before we get to the pics and sneak peeks, I thought I would include some bulletpoints flashpoints on what we know so far for season 3!
A two-part crossover episode with Supergirl, and a four-part crossover with Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.
Tom Felton (Harry Potter) has joined the cast as fellow Central City PD CSI Julian Dorn, who suspects there’s more to Barry than just his good guy reputation.
Susan Walters (Vampire Diaries) joins the cast as Caitlin Snow’s mother Dr. Carla Tannhauser, who is described as “a world class biomedical engineer and CEO of a major research company.”
Todd Lasance (Spartacus: War Of The Damned) will join the cast as The Rival.
Keiyan Lonsdale will finally don the Kid Flash costume.
Joey King will be recking havoc in Central City as the villainess Magenta.
Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Comicbook Men) will return this season to direct episode 7.
Violett Beane and Tom Cavanagh will be returning as Jesse Wells and Harrison Wells respectively, though how they play into the changed timeline remains to be seen.
Savitar and his cult are teased in the preview trailer for “Time Strikes Back”.
Dr. Alchemy makes his TV debut and will be “voiced” by Tobin Bell (Saw).
Ashley Rickards will take on the role of The Top, described as a “Bonnie” to Mirror Master’s “Clyde”.
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has revealed, “We’re going to be doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City.”
Grey Damon has been cast as Mirror Master described as “One of the Flash’s most infamous Rogues, Sam Scudder — aka Mirror Master — is a smooth criminal with a huge ego. Upon discovering he now has the power to travel through any reflective surface, Scudder embarks on a massive crime spree to prove himself the greatest thief that Central City has ever seen.”
The season 3 premiere episode is set to air on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 8/7c, only on the CW network.
