It appears as though Nightwing will be getting a partner in DC’s upcoming series Titans.
According to TVLine, Lindsey Gort has been cast in a recurring role as Amy Rorbach, Dick Grayson’s police detective partner. Amy Rorbach debuted in Nightwing Vol.2 #48 as Dick Grayson’s field training officer when he joined the Bludhaven police department. She eventually discovered that Nightwing and Dick Grayson were one and the same but still chose to protect his identity and remain his close ally, even after Dick was forced to leave the Bludhaven police force.
Gort has been seen in roles on Baby Daddy, The Carrie Diaries, and Impastor, and has dabbled in comic book media in the past as Candy Morningstar in Lucifer and in Marvel’s Agent Carter. It is currently unknown as to how her character will fit into both the main Titans story arc and Dick Grayson’s character arc, but it does allude to an involvement with the Bludhaven police force.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Nightwing, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagen Croft as Raven, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, and Minka Kelly as Dove.
Titans is expected to air on DC’s new streaming service beginning sometime in 2018.
