David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! film has been in the works for a while now, with several casting announcements being made over the last couple month and productions officially starting. Now, an official release date for the film has been announced – April 5, 2019.
In just over a year, the Earth’s Mightiest Mortal will hit the big screen for his first ever feature film. It will star Zachary Levi as the titular character and Asher Angel as his child counterpart, Billy Batson. They will be joined by Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, and Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña.
