After various Marvel characters got their own races — including the Avengers Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland — now Warner Bros and DC Entertainment are getting into the marathon game with the Wonder Woman Run Series.

SON Events in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment, home to iconic Super Heroes Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, today announced the inaugural DC Wonder Woman Run Series. Designed to empower the hero in all, this 5K and 10K movement will encourage participants to harness their inner strength.
“We’re thrilled to bring a new and inspiring Wonder Woman experience to our fans,” said Maryellen Zarakas, senior vice president of franchise management and marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “Together with the team behind the DC Wonder Woman Run Series, we are excited to give fans the ultimate Super Hero event experience.”
The first event in the DC Wonder Woman Run Series will take place on September 22, 2018, in Sacramento, California. Additional DC Wonder Woman Run Series events for 2018 include:
Oakland, California – October 13
San Jose, California – Coming soon
Los Angeles, California – November 4
San Diego, California – Coming soon
Each event kicks off with an expo, where participants will be able to collect their race packets and bib numbers, as well as purchase exclusive Wonder Woman merchandise. On race day, the DC Wonder Woman Run Series will offer music and entertainment along each of the scenic course routes, which will wind through beautiful parks, historical sites, and vibrant residential areas. The one-of-a-kind race experience will culminate with a finish line festival for both participants and spectators.
