Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix, is rumored to start shooting on September 22nd in New York City. Â Recently, it was reported that the movie has been targeting an R-rating.
Last week, Bryan Callen (The Hangover) confirmed he joined the cast of Joker in the role of a male stripper, so it appears there may be nudity, and that it won’t be contained to just the female dancers in the movie.
Joker is also taking its inspiration from The Killing Joke, where The Joker begins his turn to darkness as a failed comedian, which means some of the clubs Joker performs at are mob-owned strip clubs.
Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro and is scheduled for an October 4, 2019 release date.
