Will there be a Flash film? Won’t there be a Flash film?
The speculation surrounding the solo outing for DC’s “scarlet speedster” has been like a rollercoaster over the past few years. Â The film has reportedly lost a few directors, the script hasn’t been finished, and the feeling among fans is that Warner Bros. and DC Films aren’t making The Flash a major priority.
One of the stars of the film, Kiersey Clemons, who is slated to play Iris West, was asked by Variety about the film while attending the Power of Young Hollywood even last Tuesday night and honestly; it doesn’t sound like she knows any more details than we do at this point.
“No idea, we don’t know yet. Â I mean, we have a little bit of an idea kind of who our director is, but I can’t say that. Â But I talk with Ezra [Miller] frequently and we’ll see. Â We can’t say anything until you guys know.”
When asked if the project was on hold over at Warner Bros., Clemons answered:
“Yes, what I will say is that they get to approve every job that I do and, so far, I’m not doing Flash for the rest of the year, we know that. Â I’m doing other things. Â But lets hope for 2019”

Recently, talk out of DC Films and Warner Bros. is they were aiming for a 2019 start to production and shooting of The Flash, so maybe she isn’t completely wrong about a 2019 start to the film process.
