Prior to the start of filming for Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Margot Robbie was photographed in various pre- and post-training shots — including the actress on colorful roller skates.
Birds of Prey Movie Updates posted multiple Robbie gym photos to Twitter.
The 2013 Harley Quinn series by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti featured a storyline about Harley joining the Coney Island Roller Derby, but there’s no indication that storyline will be part of the movie.
Birds of Prey, which also features Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, is scheduled to arrive in theaters Feb. 7, 2020.
