It was revealed in July at SDCC 2018 that the main man himself, Lobo, would appear on the second season of the Syfy series Krypton. Actor Emmett J. Scanlan is bringing the character to life, and even though many regard Lobo as an anti-hero, he is set to be one of the main villains of the season.
Cameron Cuffe, who portrays the main character Seg-El, has recently taken to twitter to describe the character.
Imagine if you will, that the Joker and Wolverine had a baby and they raised this baby on a steady diet of Bane’s Venom, Glam Metal and murder. That’s Lobo.
Anyone who knows Lobo can tell you that is a spot-on description of the character. Lobo is the last survivor of the planet Czarnia. But unlike the tragedy that destroys Krypton, everyone on Czarnia died because Lobo himself committed mass genocide against his own planet. Lobo then became a bounty hunter traveling across the universe in search of his next bounty.
With Brainiac taking Krypton and Doomsday waking up in the pod, Krypton season 2 is already set to have its share of extremely powerful villains. Add Lobo to the mix and one can only wonder how Krypton survives it all.
Though a date has not been set, Krypton Season 2 will premiere on Syfy in 2019.
