DC has released the first official look at their upcoming feature film, Joker. Fans have clambered for any official news of the Clown Prince of Crime’s film and have been met with only set leaks and silence, until now.
Todd Phillips took to Instagram to release the poster along with a tease that the trailer for the film would release tomorrow. While we know little of the project itself, speculation has fueled rumor that the film will bare a similar story to the cult classics, Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy.
With our first piece of the puzzle set, it’s clear this is not your grandpa’s Joker. Covered in blood and still hidden by shadows, the Joker poster makes it clear this is not the Shazam crowd’s film, but a darker, much more gritty origin story that may leave all shocked.
