We aren’t sure what the final season of Arrow will bring, but it won’t involve Felicity Smoak. Given that she’s such an important character, it now appears as though the season seven finale of Arrow may now serve as a kind of de facto series finale, with the episode being the likely final appearance of Oliver, Felicity, and John Diggle (David Ramsey) on screen together. Stephen Smell tweeted a photo to acknowledge Rickard’s time on the show:
It’s unknown at this point if Felicity will return for next season’s series finale or if she will make any more appearances on other Arrowverse shows. By any measure, Felicity Smoak and Emily Bett Rickards presence will be missed. Not bad for a character that was only supposed to be on a few episodes.
