Batman: Last Knight on Earth Trailer

Batman Last Knight on Earth

DC Comics has released the official trailer to the upcoming Batman: Last Knight on Earth prestige format mini-series. Batman: Last Knight on Earth reunites the legendary creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Snyder and Capullo are the creative force behind the critically acclaimed Batman New 52 series.

Batman: Last Knight on Earth is the latest release from DC Black Label, DC’s new mature readers imprint.  These standalone comics and graphic novels star all your favorite DC characters but are set out-of-continuity.

The official synopsis for Batman: The Last Knight on Earth is as follows:

Bruce Wayne wakes up in Arkham Asylum. Young. Sane.

And…he was never Batman.

So begins this sprawling tale of the Dark Knight as he embarks on a quest through a devastated DC landscape featuring a massive cast of familiar faces from the DC Universe. As he tries to piece together the mystery of his past, he must unravel the cause of this terrible future and track down the unspeakable force that destroyed the world as he knew it…

From the powerhouse creative team of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, the team that reinvented Batman from the emotional depths of “Court of Owls” to the bombastic power of DARK NIGHTS: METAL, DC Black Label is proud to present the bimonthly, three-issue miniseries BATMAN: LAST KNIGHT ON EARTH, published at DC’s standard comic trim size.

This could be the last Batman story ever told…

Immediately, the trailer informs us that this is not your typical Batman story.  It reveals multiple Supermen a Wonder Woman with a mohawk and even Batman carrying Joker’s head in a lantern.

Batman: Last Knight on Earth is set to be a 3-part, 48 page prestige format series that hits shelves on May 29.

Cameron Tevis

Hi, I'm Cameron Tevis and I've been a comic book, anime and film fan my entire life. While I like Marvel and anime my true love is DC Comics. My father, who was a fan himself, introduced me at a very young age to the amazing characters in DC (especially Hal Jordan Green Lantern). I think it's a fantastic time to be a comic book fan and I'm happy I get to write about the company that I love so much. Besides being a DC fan, I am a designer and I recently started a comic book series of my own called Event Cycle 6 published through Aporian Comics. I recently wrote and directed a short film "The Misadventures of Harley Quinn". And most importantly I am now a father to my beautiful daughter Arya Jade!
