Mattel Announced Two Batman Exclusives for San Diego Comic Con

Mattel announced two Batman exclusives for San Diego Comic Con.

The toy giant will be making a statement at San Diego Comic Con exclusively for Batman aficionados and collectors alike.

First is the die-cast set celebrating Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman starring Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton.  The set will include the 1989 version of the Batmobile with a standalone figure of Batman and an armored shell that can be placed over the car.

The set will sell for $25 and come with a commemorative collectors box.

Second is the “Strange Lives of Batman” set.  This will include four versions of Batman from the Silver Age:

This package will include a window box which will be placed inside another box showing panels from the comic books that featured these costumes.

The set will run about $80

If you will be attending SDCC this year and do not feel like standing in line, Mattel will be making a certain number available for pre-order starting on June 17th with guaranteed pick up at SDCC only on July 17th.

Currently, none of these boxes will be available for fans not attending San Diego Comic Con and will not be sold outside of the convention.
