Here at San Diego Comic Con we spent some time at the DC Booth and interviewed DC Talent Gustavo Duarte. He has just completed work on a new book called Dear Justice League, not your typical graphic novel but quite unique in its own right.

Gustavo Duarte is a Brazilian cartoonist, graphic designer and a comics creator and currently resides in São Paulo. For the last 20 years, Duarte’s cartoons and illustrations have been published in some of the most popular publications in Brazil. In 2009, Duarte began publishing his own comics like Monsters!, Có!, Birds and others. In addition to his own works, he has also written and illustrated comics for major publishers including DC (Bizarro) and Marvel (Guardians of the Galaxy and Lockjaw), among others.

A potential exclusive, Mr Duarte is working on a follow up book to Dear Justice League but it will be centred on DC villains.

Our News Editor Joseph Marcas sat down with Gustavo Duarte to talk about the new book, his broader work, how he started in the industry and much more.
