Robert Pattinson Recalls Putting on the Batsuit

…and the experience wasn’t all it was “cracked” up to be for the actor.

Many actors have put on the cape and cowl of the Dark Knight and in 2021, Robert Pattinson will be the next Batman.

Recently, Pattinson spoke out about what trying on the Batsuit for the first time was like:

“You do feel very powerful immediately and it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something.  Once you’ve got it on, its like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.”

Yes, Pattinson needed help squeezing the newest “Batbutt” into the suit.

To say that Pattinson left memories of the negative reaction to his casting behind him wouldn’t be true, however, Pattinson admittedly that most of the backlash surrounding his casting wasn’t as horrible as he thought it would be.

“To be honest, it was less vitriolic than I was expecting.  It’s much more fun when you’re an underdog.  There’s no expectation of you.  When that thing was leaked, I was f*cking furious.  It was terrifying.  I was like, ‘Oh f*ck! Does that screw me because they are so intent on secrecy?”

Matt Reeves The Batman is scheduled for release on June 25th 2021 so until then the speculation surrounding the movie and how Pattinson will portray Batman will remain speculation until the movie drops in theaters.

“You’re trying to think of the way to balance, how to bring something new to it and not want to scare people off.”

At least the actor is taking this role very seriously.  DC fans can only hope he delivers on an iconic character we all know and love.
