If I were to begin listing off everything cool pertaining to the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event, we’d probably be here until it’s actually showtime. Instead, let’s just focus on a couple of the attractions, shall we?
As you may have heard, Kevin Conroy is set to make the leap from voice acting to live action when it comes to portraying the iconic Dark Knight. From what we can tell, we may see him playing only the Bruce Wayne side of the equation, but you have to admit that’s still pretty darn awesome.
Even though we’re just under three weeks away from “Crisis” commencing, The CW have opted to treat us all to the first official look at Conroy in the crossover (seen below) – and it quickly becomes apparent that he’s playing the Kingdom Come iteration of the character. Hey, this makes a ton of sense, especially when you consider how Brandon Routh will suit up as Kingdom Come Superman in the very same episode.
In case you were wondering, this shot is taken from Batwoman‘s part in the crossover, which happens to be the second chapter, and is set to air on Monday, December 9th. Not only that, but Smallville alum Tom Welling will reprise his role as Clark Kent that night as well. As an added bonus, I’ll throw in a picture revealing him at the bottom of this article.
Getting back to Conroy, it should be intriguing to learn if the Batman he’s playing is anything like that of the one existing on Earth-1. If so, how will Kate Kane react to meeting him? Furthermore, will she even recognize him? Hopefully these questions and more will be answered in due time.
