The WW84 Trailer is here!

This is it, Wonder Woman fans! After months of waiting with baited breath, the official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to the 2016 hit film, has finally dropped!

Starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal, and Kristen Wiig, the sequel takes the Amazon princess to the 80s. Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright reprise their roles as Queen Hippolyta and Antiope, respectively. And, of course, the incomparable Patty Jenkins returns to direct the next chapter in the franchise she started with the first film.

While there has been no sign of Diana’s nemesis, The Cheetah, the trailer features her human alter-ego, Barbara Ann Minerva (Wiig). It also spotlights the return of Steve Trevor (Pine) and the threat of Maxwell Lord (Pascal). Further, there are more scenes of Diana’s training on Themyscira, and a possible explanation as to why Steve has returned from the dead after his heroic sacrifice in World War 1.

The first Wonder Woman broke box office records and surpassed everyone’s expectations. Although Warner Bros. has restructured its DC movie schedule, Wonder Woman is the only franchise besides Shazam! and Aquaman that share the same continuity established by Snyder’s 2013 film Man of Steel.

The WW84 trailer hits all the right notes, so click below to check it out!

WW84 debuts in theaters June 5, 2020.
