The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover — which kicked off on December 8’s Supergirl — is shaping up to be the comic book TV event of the year… for those who can see it all. New reports indicate that UK viewers will miss out on the Batwoman chapter of the crossover, as the show isn’t aired in that market.
Comments from a spokesperson for Sky One (the UK channel for CW programming) confirm that their viewers will indeed be losing Crisis chapter two:
“Sky do not own the rights to broadcast Batwoman, so at present time there are no plans for it to air on Sky One. We will, however, be showing the current seasons of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow — and in 2020, Legends of Tomorrow — in full, including all crossover episodes for those series.”
This problem stems from the simple fact that no one in the UK market acquired the broadcast rights to Batwoman.
Meanwhile, here in the U.S., Crisis will span the entirety of the Arrowverse shows: Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow.
