Black Adam Experiences Delays

The COVID-19 pandemic strikes again!

This time the worldwide pandemic has made its mark on the production of Black Adam as principal photography has been pushed back.

Super, mega, blockbuster star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been attached to the project for a little over a decade now, all the way back to when it was under the control of the New Line branch Warner Bros.

Johnson has also been the number one “promotional machine” behind the movie, always drumming up fan support and giving updates whenever he can and reassuring everyone how dedicated he is to the Black Adam project.

Recently, Johnson took to Instagram Live and gave the updated that filming will begin in August or September after previously being scheduled to begin early this summer.

“We still plan on shooting probably at the end of summer now, probably pushed into the end of August or September.  That is a project I hold near and dear to my heart and so I can’t wait to get started.”

In March, Johnson took part in a Q&A and reminded fans that he has been attached to this project all the way back to 2008.

“Black Adam has been with me for over ten years now and that gives you an idea of how passionate I am with this project, how passionate our Seven Bucks is about this project.  Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, DC, they have been so incredibly supportive over the years.  This has been over 10 years.  In 2008, we started talking bout this, so it has required a patience by all of us as partners and I am a much different man and an actor I was 10 yeas ago.”

Currently, Black Adam has a release date of December 22, 2021 but its currently unclear if this set-back will push the release date back to early 2022.
