Originally scheduled for release back in May, Wonder Woman 1984 has been rescheduled several times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Fearful of losing the momentum and anticipation of the Wonder Woman sequel, Warners opted to stay with its US December 25th release. As to the earlier international release dates, that is an option that the studio took in order to avoid the possibility of piracy.
The film sees returning leads Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, and Robin Wright, and newcomers Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal.
