That’s right, DC Fans! The virtual DC Comics mega-event, DC FANDOME is coming back this Fall, as was announced in a Save-the-Date Twitter post. Check it out below:

This is fantastic news, as last year’s DC FanDome was the best virtual con event of the entire year. We saw great panels from upcoming films like The Batman, The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, and the recently released Zack Snyder’s Justice League, TV shows like Titans, Batwoman, and The Flash, comic book panels like Dark Nights: Metal, DCeased, and a secret panel about the return of Milestone Media, as well as two video game announcements for Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

What was original slated as a mega, 24-hour event covering everything in the world of DC Comics, from movies, to television, to comics, and much more, was turned into two separate events due to an overwhelming amount of content.

Well, it seems like they may be attempting this again as the announcement only gives us one date – October 16, 2021.

Personally, I believe this is a mistake, as one of two things will likely occur. One, it will be just like last year and their will be an overwhelming amount of content and fans will not be happy about it. Or two, the amount of content will be cut down drastically, which would be a shame.

My advice… make this a 3-day event, like most conventions, and make the panels available on-demand after they air so people can see them at their leisure during the event. That way people won’t get overwhelmed, they’ll be able to see whatever panels they want, and the hype and praise will skyrocket. It’s an easy slam dunk. Come on, DC!

No matter what, this event is the one I will be looking forward to the most this year. Let us know in the comments what panels you’re hoping to see this year. And stay tuned, right here on DC Comics News, for all the updates regarding DC FanDome 2021!
