It seems like all the cool stuff is coming from HBO Max and Cartoon Network these days. Well, they’re at it again with a brand-new animated series! The two giants are teaming up for a Superman animated series featuring Jack Quaid, best known for his role as The Boys‘ Hugie, as young Clark Kent.

Clark, Lois Lane (voiced by Alice Lee from Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and Jimmy Olsen are in their 20’s and members of an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet. Together they’ll navigate life and bad guys! Sadly, no guys, Clark isn’t Superman yet. He’ll actually be building his Superman identity as Lois and Jimmy start the road to their professional careers. Clark and Lois obviously fall in love, Jimmy is as goofy as ever, but they’ll be growing up and crime-fighting at the same time! As for who the bad guys will be, well we don’t know that yet.

“This is the first animated Superman series in many years and we want to tell our Superman story through the trio of Clark, Lois, and Jimmy – whose relationship dynamic will allow for rich,s serialized and engaging stories,” Says Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios president Sam Register.

A Superman animated series hasn’t been seen since the 90s, but he’s still around in the recent CW show Superman & Lois, and in a variety of DC Animated Films.
