Review: My Adventures With Superman 2×01- “More Things in Heaven and Earth”

Summary
My Adventures With Superman 2×01 – Clark agonizes over what to do for his and Lois’ first Valentine’s Day; visions of his father lead Clark, Jimmy, and Lois to the remains of his spaceship and the new villains of Task Force X.
Positives
It was good to see the trio of Lois, Clark, and Jimmy back together again. Clark is struggling to make sense of a dream he’s been having. However, when he finds out it’s more than just a dream, he recruits Lois and Jimmy to help him investigate. Even with all of his powers at his disposal, Clark still goes to his friends for help and guidance about his next steps.
The comedy in all of this is that these events are all happening during Valentine’s Day — and Clark has yet to find Lois a proper gift for their first celebration of this holiday together. Throughout the episode, different characters take subtle jabs at Clark, seemingly for not finding a gift yet, and I found it quite hilarious. Although Clark hasn’t found a gift yet, Lois is no better — she completely forgot about the holiday! I found this reveal between them to be funny and was also a loving moment between them.
Negatives
I have no negatives about this episode. Season two seems to be off to a promising start.
Verdict
Overall, I think My Adventures With Superman 2×01 was a great introduction to what promises to be a great season two. Lois and Clark’s relationship seems to have improved in this season. Jimmy Olsen’s Flamebird Channel with The Daily Planet is downright hilarious and I’m loving the idea of Jimmy being a millionaire and how he shows off a little in this episode.
