Sterling Gates has been announced as the new writer on the Forever Evil tie-in Forever Evil: A.R.G.U.S. – replacing solicited writer Matt Kindt.
Launching October 23rd, the six-issue miniseries will follow Steve Trevor and his A.R.G.U.S. team as they fend off the attacks of the Crime Syndicate of America and other DC Villains. Steve will have the help of some memorable faces such as Etta Candy, Dale Gun, and Killer Frost.
Gates, who is best known for his work on Supergirl, gave no indication why the writer switch up, though Mr. Kindt does have quite the workload currently at DC, which he detailed when speaking to Newsarama recently:
“The Villain issues were written ahead of time,” he told Newsarama. “Those all sort of came out at once, but those were some of the first things I’d done. They asked me to do those awhile ago, and they asked me to do one than another and another, and I kept saying, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah! I’ll do them all!’ And those were done way early. The other stuff started to roll out later, and I’ve been able to balance it out without going too crazy.”
