It Was Good Money

Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team #3 is out, continuing the story of Nadia, one of the trauma EMTs for private business Trauma Team International. Nadia has had to face insurmountable odds as she watched her team be massacred, while staying with their client, struggling to keep him alive. When finally ready to rejoin the company with a new team, her luck still fails her as their client is the one who took her team, and love, out. In Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team #3 we find her not only struggling internally with her emotions to keep this client alive but the team is facing some stacked odds to get even themselves out of this rescue alive.

I Can Help Our Clients

Nadia is face to face with the man who took her whole team down…and enjoyed it. She is fighting between the urge to put him down herself and her oath to Trauma Team International. The client comes first above all. Sadly every time Nadia and her team get even a moments respite, something happens that turns the tides. Apex states that everything was supposed to go smoothly for his operation of taking out the gang’s current leader. How was he to know their loyalty? 

Nadia is caught between personal memories and professional expectations as she and her team struggle to get Apex to safety. Trapped in a surrounded skyscraper, each floor shows that this mission is only going to get harder as they hope to escape. Problem is a wrench is thrown in the mix and loyalty may mean nothing at the end of the day.

We Need To Get Him On His Feet

I had no idea what I was getting myself into aside from knowing that this was a game in progress. I jumped at the chance for the review and I am so grateful that I did. The read of this series was insanely quick when I was catching up. There was no way to get enough. The writing is whip sharp and the artwork just draws you in. even the lettering adds so much to the experience as you sink into this chaotic world. 

Cullen Bunn, Miguel Valderrama, Jason Wordie, and Frank Cvetkovicj have given this peek into a side of Cyperpunk 2077 that just isn’t enough. I can already tell that four issues is not going to whet the appetite and  the hope for more to come is going to rise. The experiences of Nadia and her experiences with Apex are shocking and draw you deeper into this world as you watch what she goes through. It is brief when we catches glimpses of her but the memories were my favorite part of this issue. 

Verdict

Completely unprepared for the world of Cyberpunk 2077 but now want nothing more than to have more of it to digest. The action and emotion are just two things that make Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team #3 worth the read, but it is like watching your favorite movie or TV series in heightened anticipation of what is going to happen next. You cheer on Nadia the whole time! 5 out of 5 easily obtained.
