San Diego Comic-Con is the world’s biggest pop culture extravaganza, celebrating comics, film, TV, video games, cosplay, and all things geeky. Â This 4-day event attracts more than 150,000 guests from around the world, brings in vendors of all kinds, and has celebrity panels for pretty much everything.
150,000 people and growing
The Wednesday before Comic-Con is known as ‘Preview Day’ and kicks things off for those who want a jump on the festivities. This year’s Preview Day happened to be on Batman Day, the big celebration for the 75th anniversary of DC beloved caped crusader, Batman.
We saw Zack Snyder tweet out a new picture of Ben Affleck in the Batman mask, we got our first official look at the full cape and cowl to be used in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and even saw the family of Bill Finger (the uncredited co-creator of Batman) attend their very first Comic-Con.
DC also made some waves earlier today but revealing the first image of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and they even showed a teaser clip from the film.
Outside of that, many other events are taking place during this celebration of geekdom, but this year, television has a much more prominent presence than in previous years, with several shows taking over the infamous Hall H, the 6,500-seat exhibition hall that’s traditionally been movies’ main home at the convention center.
This year, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead will each be in Hall H for panels with cast members and creators. Joel McHale and other stars of Community will discuss the future of the comedy after its move to Yahoo. Guillermo del Toro plans to present his creepy new vampire series, The Strain. SyFy’s Sharknado roars in with stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid for a peek at the sequel. The creators of BBC America’s Orphan Black will be on hand with star Tatiana Maslany.

But that’s not all. Other TV panels available for fans to enjoy will be The Big Bang Theory, American Horror Story, Sons of Anarchy, Arrow, and The Vampire Diaries. We even got sneak peek pilot screenings of the upcoming DC shows, The Flash, Constantine, iZombie, and the new season of Teen Titans Go!
We will also see presentations from Marvel Studios (most likely giving us a look at Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, which are both slated for 2015 releases. Paramount will be bringing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while WB has The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Fans will also get a look at FOX’s Book of Life, Focus Features’ The Boxtrolls, and Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Daniel Radcliff will make his first Comic-Con appearance, promoting his new film, Horns, and we got the first official trailer for Kevin Smith’s Tusk.
