Shawn Kittelsen will write the story, Dexter Soy will draw the interior artwork and Ivan Reis will provide cover artwork.
While the news was just announced some details about the project have already been clarified. The story of Mortal Kombat X will take place 25 years after the events of the 2011 Mortal Kombat game, effectively serving as a sequel to the critically successful video game. Kittelsen added that the story would remain very true to the game series. The digital series will include classic characters from the franchise including Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Jax, Jade, Kano and more.
