Tis the season for Harley Quinn to go crazy… well crazier than the usual. Between precious pets breeding far too many babies, little carolling bugs, and her first grey hair, Harley has her hands full.
Positives
The first story of puppies and family was absolutely delightful. This is one story that again reminds you that Harley is not just some roller derby clown but a woman with an amazing education. It was great to see her being able to be both jester and doctor to help a young girl connect with her father once more.
The artwork in the first story was also classically Harley and pleasing to the eyes.
The third story is one most women can associate with, the dreaded first grey hair. Very typical Harley to try to fix it the way she did, and a very amusing read.
Negatives
The second story, while cutely written, was let down by the art.
Final Thought
I loved this issue. The only thing I didn’t like really was story 2’s art. I really did feel reluctant to read it, as it just wasn’t the usual BOOM look. While chibi styles are cute I think Harley needs that adult look.
The love Harley has for her pets, all those stray animals she took in is just heart-warming and keeps her from being far too over the top.
