Early last week fans went crazy speculating that a Firestorm/Arrow crossover was in the works. This is after actor Robbie Amell posted a picture of himself as Firestorm alongside his cousin, and lead Arrow star, Stephen Amell.

Sadly though, Robbie Amell has recently admitted during an interview with MTV that the photo was posted “as a joke.” He followed by confirming that there is no Firestorm/Arrow crossover episode being filmed.
He did, however, say that Stephen Amell and himself did do a shoot in character together. While he wouldn’t go into details, Robbie stated that the project was closer to a promo than an episode and that it would be airing fairly soon.
“We did shoot something together, but it’s not an episode. It’ll air fairly soon, and then they’re trying to get the two of us on screen together fairly soon…We’re both in character, but we’re not shooting it together. It’s more like a promo.”
With such little info from Amell to work from, what this mystery project could be is anyone’s guess. Although, since neither actor needed to be in the same place to shoot it, some sites have speculated that the CW could be putting together a promo for all their DC characters.
