Back in August, Tom King took to twitter about his pitch meeting to DC about bringing a certain Nazi punching soldier back for a story.

It now has been confirmed that he is bringing Sgt. Rock to the DC Holiday Special due in December with the veritable brilliance of Francesco Francavilla, who has steered Archie’s Horror imprint to massive success.

Sgt. Rock, for those uninitiated, is probably one of DC’s most prominent war genre characters alongside the Unknown Soldier.  Personally, as a fan of both creators and these characters, I have nothing but complete confidence that they will do justice to this iconic character.
