That’s right! Ever since Margot Robbie got her role in Suicide Squad she has since delved into the DC Universe and fell madly in love with the DC female characters. According to The Hollywood Reporter it won’t necessarily be a solo Harley movie but has dropped names like Batgirl, Birds of Prey, and obviously Harley Quinn so it will feature both female villains and heroes.
The only thing of which we are certain at this point is that the writer of the script is female. It had been snapped up rather quickly by Warner Brothers once Margot and her mysterious writer had started writing up the movie script according to The Hollywood Reporter.
I think it is a rather great idea especially since the rise of stronger female characters and their roles in comics have also become a more important and rather more developed character basis as compared to where they were in the past. DC truly has some amazing female characters to pull from such as Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Batgirl, Katana, Black Canary, Wonder Woman, and Bumblebee to name a few. No matter how things go down in the Suicide Squad movie we all have an amazing list of movies to look forward to especially now with this news that brings us another movie with Harley Quinn.
