April Fools!
April Fools…a day of merriment and uncontrollable laughter when you play pranks on your friends and loved ones. The day is also known for the day Harleen Quinzelle broke the Joker out of Arkham and officially became Harley Quinn! But enough about that.
You’d think the day would be perfect for some hijinx from the Joker, the Trickster, or even Calendar Man or Mr. Mxyzptlk. But nope, the hilarious April Fools award goes to Shazam director David Sandberg. Huh…who would’ve thought he’d be up for some pranks? It just goes to show you; you can’t trust anyone on the internet on that day.
Sandberg posted a Shazam “teaser trailer” for the upcoming film on Twitter. It started off pretty serious (does that sound like the Wonder Woman score in the background to you?) but then cut to some footage of the 1970s TV series. Dang did he get us! You can watch the “teaser” below:

The real Shazam trailer will probably be released in July at San Diego Comic-Con. Until then, we have this hilarious April Fool’s joke to entertain us.
