Denzel Washington to play Green Lantern John Stewart?

According to Nuke The Fridge Denzel Washington is currently in rumor to be Green Lantern, John Stewart. This disproves the already existing rumor of Denzel Washington to play Lex Luthor in the coming 2015 Man of Steel sequel.

Note this is a rumor after all. Yet what hope it brings to DC’s grand master cinema plan!  What are your thoughts DCN-denizens?
