Since Damian Wayne met his untimely demise at the hands of Leviathan in ‘Batman Inc #8 ‘ Batman has been Robin-less. The “Batman and Robin” series put together by writer Peter Tomasi and Andy Kubert has turned into a “Batman and _____” series, with notable characters such as Frankenstein and Aquaman filling the void left behind by the former Boy Wonder.
But Robin will soon rise again, according to Tomasi and Kubert, but which young hero will be the one to don the R emblem on their chest? Following the “Hunt for Robin” Â arc currently running, Tomasi/Kubert will launch July’s “Robin Rises: Omega” one-shot. It is widely believed that Damian will be ressurrected in order to fight side by side with his father once again but Tomasi said that may not be the case. He said the following to Hero Complex in an interview:
“Weeeeelllll, you’re making a biiiiggg assumption that it’s Damian that comes back from the dead. In a general note I’d say that anyone coming back from the dead, be it comics or in real life, would most likely result in some changes that no one expected. Let’s just say that we are most definitely bringing back a Robin for Batman’s 75th anniversary. Batman needs a Robin and Robin needs a Batman…”

Currently in the storyline Batman is battling with Damian’s grandfather Ra’s Al Ghul over the corpse of Damian, so we’ll see where every stands after the dust has cleared.
