‘Arrow’ Finale News

Arrow Cast

According to MTV News and Paul Blackthorne, who portrays Detective/Officer Lance, ‘Arrow’ will receive a major game changer.

As fans of the show know, The Arrow does not have the best of relationships with the Starling City Police Department. However, according to Blackthorne, by the end of this season they’ll actually be working together.

“Now as we head toward the finale, there’s a little turn in how the whole Starling City Police Department is working with the Arrow. Because let’s face it, we’re all in this together.”

While this doesn’t confirm that Oliver and the police will be buddy buddy in Season 3, it’s possible that they’ll be grateful enough for his help in the ‘Mirakuru War’ that they’ll form a strained alliance if anything.

In addition to these hints of the future, Blackthorne also talked a bit about his role as Lance in the finale.

““There are great little one-liners that the writers come up with,” Blackthorne noted, “Which is sort of Lance trying to wrap his head around, this men and women showing up in their exotic outfits. For a man with a badge and a gun is hard to deal with. But he cares about the city, and does whatever he can. If it’s a threat, it’s a threat and he’ll deal with it, whatever they’re wearing.”

The final two episodes of ‘Arrow’ may also promise more twists and turns besides that of the Police Department supporting our Emerald Archer.

With Nyssa Al Ghul (Katrina Law) & the League of Assassins in Starling at the same time as former member Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), things are looking bleak for the city and its people. And with Deathstroke’s ‘Mirakuru Army” rampaging through the streets, you can expect a more explosive and devastating finale than the last.

‘Arrow’ 2×22 “Streets of Fire” airs next Wednesday at 8pm ET on The CW.
