With the new wave of DC movies announced but not named there will be many open to interpretation. Guillermo Del Toro has come out and talked about who he would use as one of the members of the Dark side of the Justice League in his adaption of the Dark Universe.

While talking to IGN he mentioned that he wouldn’t mind having the soon to be Television Constantine Matt Ryan play the same character on the big screen. Thus making it the second time John Constantine has made an appearance on the big screen, the first being Keanu Reeves in the 2005 self-titled movie “Constantine.”
With the new Constantine show hitting our screens later this year we will see if Matt Ryan lives up to the wise guy, smart talking chain-smoker we read in the comics. And with shows like Flash and Arrow having cross overs could it be we could see a cross over with NBC’s Constantine and the big screen adaption. Adding to the fact the Zatanna has also seen her share of the small screen in Smallville a crossover would be a great opportunity to address all the fan favourite characters and storylines.
Constantine starts on the 24th of October later this year while there is no release date for the Dark Universe.
