With the new Fox drama Gotham that is set to premiere later this month, there have been many promotional spots for it. As many of you know, the show will center on younger and pre-Batman versions of James Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Bruce Wayne and many of the villains of the Batman mythos. Within some of the promos of the upcoming series there have plenty of comic book referenced imagery including the scene of young Bruce screaming in the alley between the bodies of his parents. It is very similar to the Batman: Year one, part one cover.

In a new promo called, “Heroes Aren’t Born, They’re Forged” there are many illustrative images that are created by comic book artist, Mark Simpson a.k.a. Jock (Detective Comics, The Losers, Green Arrow: Year One). Within the promo, three of his amazing and stylized illustrations are featured as they transition from film to artwork emphasizing certain scenes including the alleyway scene, young Bruce Wayne and Oswald Cobblepot.

Here is the promo along with the three illustrations from Jock.
