It is well known that The Flash will receive a cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it won’t come in the way we’re expecting.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel both experience dreams warning of dangers to come,”including the possible appearance of DC’s galactic ultra-villain Darkseid,” the magazine states.
Apparently, this is where Ezra Miller’s Flash comes in, delivering a cryptic message to Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne. However, director Zack Snyder leaves open the possibility that Flash’s appearance isn’t a dream, but the scarlet speedster attempting to cross time and space to warn Batman.
“We had such a straightforward narrative, on one hand,” Snyder says, “I wanted this other layer of the movie to be complicated and bizarre.”
There’s no doubt that The Flash traveling through time means serious business, but what message does he carry that is drastic enough for him to run through space and time? Certainly fans already have their own theories by now, but we’ll have to watch the film in order to find out discovery what it is.Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters March 25.
