On the next episode of Gotham, Gordon must deal with the after effects of Mad Hatter’s hypnosis.

In the preview, the main focus appears to be whether Gordon will be able to kill the Mad Hatter or not. There are two ways to interpret this. The first one is what the preview tells us. Mad Hatter is still in Gordon’s head and somewhat controlling his actions. On the other hand, the writers may be dealing with Gordon’s execution of Galavan from last season. The guilt of his actions has buried Gordon and I am curious to see whether this is a beginning of a redemption for Gordon especially with the title of the episode being “New Day Rising.”
The episode will also deal with Penguin’s bid for mayor and Bruce’s doppelganger assuming his identity.
