Summary

The Riverdale Vixens didn’t really need a makeover, but they’re getting one anyway, courtesy of a pair of super-villains masquerading as It girls. Well, Harley-as-Betty is up to no good for sure, but who knew Ivy would turn Veronica into a bookworm? And how are their counterparts faring in Gotham City? You may not want to know

Positives

Still in their Freaky Friday body switch situation, Betty and Veronica, have to deal with the conniving ways of the Joker, as the reality of an actual criminal in the midst is scary and real for these characters. Braga should draw more books for DC, as her aesthetics are so appealing to the eye. This shows a different looking Joker and I would love to see her draw Green Lanterns. The rest of the rogues in Gotham are secretly hatching a plan to kill Harley and Ivy, an interesting subplot which adds a new dimension to this story. Lastly, the initial mystery is reinvigorated in this book as we get closer to what is behind the construction on the swamp between Riverdale and Gotham.

Verdict

This issue, is a must read, as both familiar characters and unfamiliar characters get the spotlight, bringing us one step closer to the real motivation for building the swamp.
