Whether entering Flashtime or traversing time-space VIOLETT BEANE is always a welcome site dropping into the Arrowverse this season as JESSE QUICK not once, but twice!

On the week’s episode of The Flash it took the combined ability of a legacy of Flashes in order to prevent a nuclear device from destroying Central City! The culprit was none other than eco-terrorist Veronica Dale (guest star Bernadette Saquibal) and Eden Corps, a comic book villain that might be familiar to fans of the Green Arrow, but hadn’t it been for the assist from Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) and Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp), the Scarlet Speedster’s home town would have been up in a blaze of glory!

It’s been a while since any of the additional speedsters popped in on Team Flash, fortunately “Enter Flashtime” set up a premise that gave Barry (Grant Gustin) an opportunity to turn to his Flash Family and further developed the theory of “Flashtime” first introduced in the episdoe “The Trial of The Flash”. Violett Beane the actress that plays Jesse Quick, The Flash of Earth-2 was interviewed by screenrant.com and shed some light on this new power set that propelled the narrative in one of the season’s most suspenseful episodes yet.

When asked about exactly how Flashtime is meant to work, she described that it’s not just necessarily that the speedsters are “freezing time” but that they’re moving at such an accelerated pace as to move more fluidly between time and space. “And more than our bodies,” Beane elaborated, “thoughts are moving so quickly that we’re able to essentially freeze time.” Which comes in handy when a nuclear device is ignited and threatens to take out the city! Although Team Flash is able to apprehend the terrorist, they are unable to stop them from starting the countdown to destruction.

Using Flashtime, The Flash is able to pull his friends out of sync and up to speed with him, but there are consequences for those actions, as is evidenced by how quickly Vibe (Carlos Valdes) becomes tired while attempted to open a breach to send the bomb away. Fortunately Jesse Quick is able to bring in Jay Garrick (Shipp) The Flash from Earth-3, and the trio immediately work at a rapid pace to come up with a solution. “Enter Flashtime” which was written by Todd Helbing and Sterling Gates is perhaps the first time The Flash’s legacy heroes have been seen saving the day!

For Beane this marks an engaging return to The Flash universe and it has been revealed that Jesse Quick will also be landing into an episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow which makes since, especially now that her one-time beau Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) has joined the crew of the time-tripping Waverider. It’ll be a reunion for these characters that haven’t been seen together since their dramatic break-up. Wally decidedly took it very hard and left Central City to “find himself”. Now the pair will find each other in a new adventure!
