Everything comes to an end, even a Batman story.

In 2019 the prequel Batman show Gotham, that has aired on Fox since 2014 will come to an end. The show has had great ratings and built a very strong fan base with both its audience and critics.

Through the seasons, Bruce Wayne and Detective James Gordon have met an array of the Rogues Gallery.  We’ve met Victor Zsasz, Ra’s al Ghul, Scarecrow, Catwoman, “Joker,” Poison Ivy, Hugo Strange and more. But for the fifth season, star David Mazouz has a request for the network and the writers; more interaction with Riddler and Penguin for a wrap of the Gotham story.

Despite being the first two major villains of the show, Mazouz admits he hasn’t had much screen time with Edward Nygma and Oswald Cobblepot.

“Penguin I’ve had two scenes with…two or three, and they’ve been good, but you know, I would love a good arc with him.  Nygma, I had one scene with and it was like through a glass so like, it doesn’t count…He’s going to become what he needs to become.”

With one season to go and only ten episodes to wrap up the story, there is no doubt that closing the story is going to be complicated and only the writers know if David Mazouz will get his wish and Batman will finally get to truly meet two of his most dangerous and menacing villains.
