The project was announced at last year’s New York Comic Con: DCYou Unscripted, a contest for fans to pitch new show ideas for the DC Universe streaming service.
Now, the finalists have been revealed ahead of the two-part “pitch event” to be aired later this month.

Over 1,100 Fans Submitted Ideas
For the Chance to See Their Idea Developed As a Series
DC Daily to Air Two-Part Pitch Event on January 23 & 24, Only on DC UNIVERSE
DC UNIVERSE today announced the team of creative talent and seasoned entertainment executives that will mentor the 10 finalists for the DCYou Unscripted fan contest, as well as the panel of judges that will select three concepts to receive a pilot order, with one to ultimately receive a full series order as a DC UNIVERSE exclusive. The project, in conjunction with Ideas United, tapped into the massive creative power of dedicated DC fans, sparking over 1,100 submissions for unscripted series ideas after it was first announced at New York Comic Con late last year.
This week, the 10 finalists will travel to DC’s headquarters in Burbank to meet with industry veterans to help refine their pitch concepts. The mentors assisting the finalists are Dan Evans, Vice President, Creative Affairs and Creative Services, DC, Bridgette Theriault, Senior Vice President, Development, Telepictures and Phil Jimenez, DC Writer and Artist.
In the spotlight of the Bat Signal, the contestants will have five minutes to pitch to DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, DC Publisher Dan DiDio and Stage 13 Senior Vice President and General Manager Diana Mogollon, followed by a five-minute question and answer round.
With selected project submissions ranging from game show challenges to docudramas and everything in between, the creative finalists include:

The pitch event will air on two special episodes of DC Daily on DC Universe on January 23 and 24, 2020. The three finalists who receive a pilot order will be announced on January 24.
