A few weeks ago DC shared the news that The Last God: Tales from the Book of Ages, the official sourcebook detailing the rich history of the people, locations, schools of magic and creatures found throughout Cain Anuun, is on the way to comic shops in April. It’ll serve as the break between the front half of Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Riccardo Federici’s The Last God and the back, and will include new maps and content to help you run your own quests within this high fantasy world.

But ahead of that, The Last God #5 gives us a deep dive into the origins of the world before the big action-packed sixth issue! Federici has upped the game (with color on these pages by Arif Prianto and Mat Lopes), so check out some of what’s coming up in The Last God! Thanks for your coverage! –Clark

Beyond the edge of creation lies the Black Stair. And beyond it, amidst the void, he waits. Mol Uhltep, The Last God. This is the tale of those who claimed to slay him, and the world they doomed with their lies.

Thirty years in the past, Tyr forges an alliance with a new member of his fellowship, a powerful spellcaster who reveals an unimaginable truth to the Fellowship: the one, true origin of the Last God.

In the present, as the forces of the Last God attempt to breach the Pinnacle, Skol, grandmaster of the Guild Eldritch, unveils her plan to Queen Cyanthe and Veikko, while Valko uncovers the first of many horrible truths about the cost of human magic.

All this and more in the fifth chapter of DC’s dark fantasy epic The Last God.
