First Look at Robert Pattinson as Batman
DC fans are you ready?
The first look at Robert Pattinson as Batman from the upcoming Matt Reeves film The Batman dropped on Thursday.
The video depicts Pattinson dressed in the famous cape and cowl, saturated in a deep red light, set to very ominous and scary score by composer Michael Giacchino.
As the music builds, Pattinson steps into frame in his sleek yet rigidly intimidating Batsuit. Â This is the first, major reveal from Reeves of his Batman and it is sure to take social media by storm.
Last fall, Pattinson revealed that he was a huge fan of the Tim Burton Batman films while he was growing up and once he heard that Warner Bros and Reeves was rebooting the Caped Crusader, well he (Pattinson), just knew he had to play the iconic Batman for Matt Reeves.
“I’d had Batman in my mind for a while. Â It’s such an absurd thing to say. Â I sort of had an idea to it, and I’d been prodding Matt. Â He didn’t accept any prods. Â I keep asking to meet him.”
Pattinson went on to say about putting on the Batsuit:
“You do feel very powerful immediately. Â It’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. Â You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something. Â Once you’ve go it on, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.'”
Every reveal director Matt Reeves has shown has shown the public about the movie has been nothing but dramatic and iconic and there is no doubt that more is still to come, and we cannot wait.
The Batman is set to debut on June 25th 2021.
