COVID 19 has halted production on films wolrdwide. That includes Matt Reeves’ highly anticipated The Batman. We haven’t heard much in the ways of news from the production, but Robert Pattinson has began press for Tenet. It makes sense that he would be asked about how The Batman is coming along. It seems like he isn’t minding the break.
“We’d really gotten into a really good rhythm as well, so it’s kind of strange to be pausing. But, again, it’s a hard movie. I mean, obviously it’s Batman, so it’s kind of nice,” Pattinson told Total Film. “I basically went straight from Chris [Nolan’s] movie into that. And, yeah, I was feeling a little bit loopy anyway. So having some time off is not the worst thing in the world. But hopefully it’ll be sooner rather than later that everything is hopefully in a better place.”
It would make sense that he would want a bit of a breather. Both Batman and Tenet are physically demanding films.
We still aren’t sure when the film will go back into production, but it is set to be released October 21, 2021.
