You read that right, folks! Arthur Curry and Oliver Queen are joining forces this October for a brand new miniseries, Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target.
Aquaman and Green Arrow have held a special connection for the past 80 years, as both characters initially made their debuts in different stories of More Fun Comics #73. Since then, these characters have forged their own paths in completely different ways, so to see them team up in their own book is a great way to celebrate their 80th anniversaries.
Recently, DC writer Brandon Thomas (Batman: Urban Legends, Future State: Aquaman) took to Twitter to announce the coming 7-issue miniseries that he’ll be writing, alongside Ronan Cliquet and Ulises Arreola on art and colors.
NEW PROJECT FROM @DCCOMICS! Arthur Curry & Oliver Queen team up (and throw down) in Deep Target, a mind-bending, worlds altering adventure that launches in October! Epic artwork from #RonanCliquet & #UlisesArreola, and amazing covers by @MSantucciArt & @inhyuklee! @thedcnation pic.twitter.com/WzeO03VPva

He also revealed two covers for the first issue, courtesy of Marco Santucci and InHyuk Lee.
While details surrounding Deep Target have not been officially released by DC, Thomas’ tweet indicates that it will be a “mind-bending, worlds-altering adventure” for the duo, which sounds absolutely awesome to me.
This will be Thomas’ latest venture in the Green Arrow sphere, after contributing the Connor Hawke story “One” in the recent Green Arrow 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular.
Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target will release sometime in October. Stay tuned to DC Comics News for more news about this series as it comes out.
