Summary

“Make it MORNING boys!  – Bellwether
“FULL THROTTLE DARK” In Nocterra #6 –  Part Six…It’s here!
You’ve seen the calm…now it’s time for the storm. Having unearthed a shocking revelation, Val must prepare for battle before she loses the paradise that she’s risked so much to find.

Positives

Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel…. our latest version of Dynamic Duos in comics allow us to close a chapter as Valentina Riggs (Sundog), her brother Emory and Bailey have to make a hasty exit as all that appears to be heaven on this earth in the Great PM is not.

Snyder again provides a break neck pace that rivals any suspenseful movie you could watch.  Betrayal, chases, and revelations abound, he has us hooked as we are unsure if the Riggs and Bailey can make it out alive.  Love that calvary though led by Bellwether.

Tony Daniel’s pens come alive, especially in drawing Valentina as her beauty and brawn rival that of Seliina and Diana.  His drawings rival that of Greg Capullo in terms of the blood and gore.  He switches gears on a dime and does it seamlessly!

Tomeu Morey colors this world in the face of Darkness.  How Morey accepted a job that is immersed in the Great PM and comes out with the most colorful stylings seems like a daunting task.  Nor for Morey…. the colors pop on each page!

Positives 2.0

Blacktop Bill blows the doors off.  he’s the best creation since Ram V’s Father Valley/  Where do I sign up for Villain Creation 101 as Snyder has this in his skill set.

Blacktop Bill needs more frames.  His appearances only wet the appetite and we have to have an origin story….Mr. Snyder… Mr. Daniel….we need a Blacktop Bill #1…and pronto.  Let us see how this character originated!

Negatives

From art to script, this is arguably one of the biggest comics of the year.  Snyder and Daniel along with everyone on their team have created a science fiction tale that will stand for ages.

Verdict

BUY THIS BOOK! In fact, go out and get the Full Throttle Dark story line in issues #1 – #6.  It would easy as a collector to wait until the Trade Paperback is released in October.  Why would you even do that?  Get in on this story now as we are almost to a crescendo in it!  If you are not hooked yet, here is a link to the first issue.

What are you waiting for…Load up your rig and plunge into the Big PM.
