DC League of Super-Pets finally has a trailer that showcases Krypto’s new crew.
DC League of Super-Pets: Who’s Who And What Can We Expect?
Besides Clark Kent’s infamous superdog, voiced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, pets of other Justice League members make their debut. Kevin Hart voices Batman’s dog Ace, Vanessa Bayer is Wonder Woman’s pig, PB, Natasha Lyonne voices The Flash’s turtle Merton, and Diego Luna is Green Lantern’s squirrel, Chip. Although these animals are infamously tied in to these icons, the trailer suggests they are initially shelter pets. Chip, however, is an alteration on the infamous bow-tie-wearing extraterrestrial member of the Green Lantern Corps. Further, Krypto has problems socializing with other animals because of his enthusastic emulation of his owner, right down to trying out Clark’s trick with the glasses. When Lex Luthor (Marc Maron) successfully bests Superman (John Krasinsky) and the League, it falls on Krypto and these newly empowered animals to save their beloved owners. The voice cast also includes Kate McKinnon, Dascha Polanco, and Keanu Reeves. Polanco is credited as Green Lantern, so therefore she could be voicing Jessica Cruz.
This isn’t Johnson’s only DC project, as he is also set to debut as The Wizard Shazam’s fallen champion in Black Adam. This is also his fourth film costarring his good buddy, Kevin Hart, as they starred together in Central Intelligence and both Jumanji sequels. Kevin even had a cameo in Dwayne’s Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw alongside Jason Statham, thus making it four.
DC League of Super-Pets flies into theatres May 22, 2022. Please click below to watch the trailer.
